我家大罗2个月的时候，耳朵是竖着的（有人说这是纯种罗威纳的特征）。 刚来家里时胆小如鼠，天天躲在沙发底下。后来慢慢敢吃食了，但见到我们仍会躲。
4个半月的时候，被其它狗狗吓到了，突然耳朵倒了！我们以为它真的胆子这么小。直到有一天，看见它在撕咬自己的尾巴，才发现原来它是假耳朵，一直想咬掉自己的真耳朵！吓得我立刻把它的嘴掰开，制止了它。然后每天帮它按摩耳朵（揉烂了，一直不好）、清理耳道。还买了洗耳液，坚持每月给它清洗两次，以防耳炎。（其实应该每周清洗的，但我怕它洗多了会不好，就改为每月一次了。）
现在大罗6个月了，耳朵已经立起来了，也敢和我们玩耍了，见了我们也不再躲。 个人认为，对罗威纳来说，耳朵和尾端的修整很重要。因为如果不剪的话，这些部位很容易脏，而且很难清洁。（当然不剪也会有办法清洁，但是比较麻烦。）
另外如果耳朵没剪，一旦感染了，就很难医治。（虽然它的感染是因为自己总咬） 至于尾端，我认为是有必要修理的——虽然看起来像一根毛也没多大关系，但是毕竟影响美观，而且容易积累污垢。（而且大罗经常磨屁股，好烦啊！）

In America， there is a movement in some states to ban the practice. The AKC standard calls for "a tail of moderate length." This is interpreted to mean that the tail should fall to the hock. Some breed fanciers dock tails to two inches， while others leave the entire tail. Some European countries have banned the docking/cropping procedure， so there are some dogs being shown with full-length tails. Dogs shown in international competition must leave the tails in the conformation in which they appear naturally.
